This hand embroidered Sefer Torah Mantel expresses a heartwarming concept. It is a depiction of the Priestly blessing recited by the Kohanim. The hands are formed in the manner that the Kohanim hold their hands while reciting the benediction. The blessing begins with “G-d should bless you and protect you…” Those words are arched above the illustration of the hands. The concluding phrase: “… and He shall place peace upon you.” The multi-colored bricks shown above and below the hands represent the Kotel located in Jerusalem. In Israel this special blessing is recited daily. In any other location this reserved for designated holidays. Sefer Torah Mantels are fashioned with open or closed backs, with or without fringes.
